Here is another nice group of photos from Behind the Scenes of the Benny Hill Show. These were passed along by wildwestfan from Louise Walker. A special thanks from both of them for these sneak peaks at the production of The Benny Hill Show. I will be adding some info as to which programs these are from a little later, although I can spot Sue Upton and Benny in Charlene's Angels near the bottom. Click on each image and the full size original will open in a new window. Enjoy!
Here are some cool behind the scenes photos from wildwestfan, which he got from Louise Walker. A special thanks to Louise and widwestfan for making these available. You will need to click on the thumbnails to get a file size version. In case you missed it, Louise Walker gave us an exclusive interview in the Benny Hill Stars Q&A section of the site. Thanks to her once again for the interview. Enjoy!
All of the messages from the Previous Guestbook Service have now been added to the New Guestbook at Motigo.com. There are seven large messages containing all 184 messages from the Old Guestbook Page. You will need to read the messages in reverse order (bottom to top) if you want to view them in Chronological Order. Hope you enjoy reading the archived messages.
Jackie Wright in "Name That Tune?"
Broadcast: April 16, 1980.
I recieved an email from someone who has put together A Tribute to Jackie Wright on his own personal blog which you might find interesting. Check it out!
If you haven't seen it yet, you may want to catch Season 1, Episode 11 of Robot Chicken, called Vegetable Fun Fest, with a short sendup of Benny Hill. It features Benny's funeral as a closing chase sequence. It's a pretty good sendup that I think even Benny would have appreciated. Check it out sometime! The series airs regularly on Teletoon.
I was recently asked by someone if there were any future plans for a release of the Down Under Program. I got in touch with Devra Prywes to see if there were any developments, but as of now, there are still no plans for a DVD release. The present megaset release is simply a repackaging of the six individual box sets that are currently available. Sorry I couldn't offer any news on the Down Under program, but if anything changes, you can always find out about it here.
I recently was notified by my brother that there are some cool photos of Benny Hill and the Angels in rehearsal at Teddington Studios posted at the Association of Reunited Thames Staff. You can find the photos on the Memorabilia: In the Teddington studios with Benny Hill Page. Thanks to Alan Cross, the webmaster of arts-tv.org.uk for allowing me to link to his site. Thanks Alan and thanks to my brother Andrew for alering me of these cool shots. Enjoy!

There is now a series of three (3) pages which contain all of the previous Guestbook messages up to date. You can read all 184 messages on Pages One, Two and Three. This Archive will remain as a permanent part of this site. Remember, you can also post your new messages to the New Guestbook as well!
I was recently notified by the folks who have been providing the Guestbook for Benny's Place, that they will be discontinuing their free Guestbook services very soon. I think however that I have found a suitable free online Guestbook service for people to continue posting to in the future. I do not have the old messages from the previous Guestbook transfered there yet, but they will be soon. Hope you like the new Guestbook. A Special Thanks to Spin Guestbooks for all the service they provided over the years.
Looks as though another movie featuring Benny is also seeing a Region 2 DVD Release. Who Done It? (1956) looks as though it is going to see a release date of November 12th, 2007. This image was passed along by our Associate Editor, David Hawkins. If more information becomes available about this movie and this disc, I'll post it here. In the meantime, there is information at the Internet Movie Database you can check out! Thanks again, David!
I recieved this image from our correspondent across the pond, David Hawkins. Light Up The Sky (1960), is being released on DVD in Region 2 by Odeon Entertainment on October 15, 2007. This British Comedy stars Ian Carmichael, Tommy Steele, Benny Hill, Sidney Tafler and Victor Maddern. I don't really know anything about this movie, nor have I heard of it before. If more information becomes available about this movie and this disc, I'll post it here. In the meantime, there is information at the Internet Movie Database you can check out!
Recently, I was contaced by Suzy Mandel about her part in the famous Milk Marketing Board Sketch. I asked Suzy if she would consent to an interview and she was very generous to take some time and reminisce about Benny Hill, her time on the show and her life in general. A Special Thanks to Suzy for being so candid. Enjoy!
Louise Walker was a costume designer on The Benny Hill Show from 1980 - 1983. In addition to working on The Benny Hill Show, she also worked on Rumpole of The Bailey as well as The Last Detective. She has graciously consented to an interview about the Benny Hill Show. Today, she runs her own fashion and style business, Charisma Consultants. For a look at her credentials, why not download a copy of her Resume. Thank you, Louise!
