William Brown has passed along more photos for the Faces of Benny Hill section. There is now a huge treasure trove of images and there are now over 100 images in the Faces of Benny Hill pages.
I had written a Benny Hill Tribute quite some time ago, but it was brief and not very indepth. I decided that it needed to be revised and I could think of no one more capable than our own William Brown to do the job. He has also used some of the material I had written in the original in this new tribute. I have done the photos you will see on the four pages as a Tribute to Benny's mastery of so many characters during his twenty years at Thames Television. Hopefully fans will see this as a fitting Tribute to Benny. Special thanks to William Brown for this excellent Tribute to our man Benny!
After some muscle grease and a lot of really great suggestions from William Brown, I have updated and expanded the Faces of Benny Hill section into six pages and over 50 images of Benny Hill in several of his famous characters and impersonations he did over the years. This section will of course expand in the future. Don't be afraid to make some suggestions for your favorites that may be missing! Make sure that character isn't actually in the Faces section first before submitting it. Enjoy!
I recieved an email from www.tvshowsondvd.com and they seem to have confirmed the release date for Set 6 for January 30th, 2007. The Collection will include all eight episode from 1986-1989 as well as a featurette entitled Hill's Angels: In Conversation Interview and The Benny Hill Cheeky Challenge Trivia Quiz #6. I will of course be doing a review when it becomes available.
There are now two new entries in the Love Machine Tribute. One for Jane Eve (Colthorpe), top and Teresa Lucas (bottom). You can go straight to their entries by clicking on the images to the left. Thanks to William Brown for the background information!
William Brown has done a little more research on Diana Darvey and has added another obituary on this very special lady who died too young. Check it out in the Diana Darvey Tribute. Thanks, William!
William Brown has put together a Bob Todd Tribute with some excellent photos and a look at the moon-faced comedian who was one of the TBHSs key players! Thanks to William Brown for the indepth research.
I just heard from David Hawkins that NetworkDVD will continue releasing the Benny Hill Annuals in the new year, beginning with 1980 & 1981. So far, there is no official street date for the titles. Amazon UK and other online sites are stating street dates somewhere in March, but that is incorrect. As I get more details on this news from David, I will pass that info on to you.
David Hawkins did a little research on the Hot Gossamer routine and has passed along some interesting trivia about Hot Gossip, the real dance troupe which inspired the parody, Hot Gossamer on TBHS. Test your knowledge!
Our three winners in the DVD Competition should keep an eye on their mail boxes. Robert Mair of Network DVD has informed me that the three prize packages were posted today. Once again, congratulations to the grand prize winner Quentin Dodd and runners-up Jonathan Shaw & Mervyn Wall!
I just recieved an email from Tony James who hosts the Tony James Goldmine Radio Show. Tony is a huge Benny Hill fan and was quite impressed with this site. Tony has passed along a link to his site and is going to post a link to Benny's Place there. He may even mention this site in an upcoming show! Thanks to Tony for his support!
Some very special fan favorites of members of Hill's Angels have been added today. William Brown put in some hard work I suspect to capture these pics. We now have entries for Samantha Spencer-Lane, Clare Smalley and by special request, Sue Upton. You will also find entries for Emma Bryant and Erica Lynley. Hill's Angels fans will appreciate the entries for these and special thanks to William Brown for passing along the photos and for his research!

As usual, William Brown is an excellent aid to identifying cast members and for additional bits of info for the newest Set 5 DVD Review. You will see his contributions to the Set 5 DVD Review in brackets and marked WB. Thanks again, William!
I have now completed my review for A&E Set 5 which was released on Septmber 26th. The review has taken some time because I have also made revisions to the Hill's Angels galleries and added new ones! There are updates to the Golden Greats Photo Galleries and the Golden Classics Photo Galleries. I have also divided the Who's Who pages into two sections for easier navigation. The Hill's Angels Galleries are now divided by the years they were released in accordance with the DVD sets from A&E. Check out the menu on the right hand column of every page. William Brown will probably be adding his own notes and any corrections that may be needed for the galleries. Note: The A&E Set 5 DVD contains the complete and uncut version of Lady Godiva (The Wild West)!
I have been receiving a few emails about my Set 5 review. I apologize if this seems to be taking longer than usual. There are a few other updates to the site that I am doing as part of this DVD Review, in particular, the Hill's Angels Galleries. Please be patient, I will have it up as soon as possible!
