Who's Who Of The Benny Hill Show
There is another impressive installment of updates to the Who's Who Of The Benny Hill Show pages. You'll find listings now for cast members of Eddie In August, vocal groups Reflections & Petticoat and Vine, as well as entry for Love Machine. Thanks as always to contributing editor William Brown for the info and screen captures.
Update: August 8, 2005
A&E DVD Set 3 Distribution Snafu.
Well, I have ordered myself a copy of the latest Benny Hill DVD. That is the good news. The bad news is that the DVD is on backorder, which means it could be a while before you see a review of Set 3 here. Will keep you posted. The official release date was July 26, 2005.
I have managed to make another improvement to the site. The arrow at the bottom of each page didn't work in browsers other than Internet Explorer until now. The arrow button now seems to work just fine in Opera, Firefox, Netscape and should work in Safari. If there are still problems, feel free to pass along an email.
Weblink: www.abusy.com
Recently I was contacted by the webmistress of www.abusy.com, asking if I would like to add a link to her site from mine. She has already posted a link to Benny's Place in her Benny Hill links section on her site. Check it out!
According to several sites on the internet, Benny Hill: The Lost Years became available on August 2, 2005. I am going to contact Warner Online Marketing to confirm the date to see if it was pushed ahead. In the meantime, you may want to check with your local retailers to see if it is available in your area.

William Brown has passed along some photos which I have added to the Who's Who Of The Benny Hill Show pages, including a pic of Elfrida Ashworth, two shots of Julie Kirk and a pic of Anita Graham. He's also passed along more updates to the Syndicated Series pages as well. As usual, a job well done. Again, if we make mistakes, be patient. We're working all the time to be as accurate as possible.
A&E DVD Set 3 Distribution Snafu.
I am presently in the process of acquiring my own copy of the latest Benny Hill DVD from A&E. This should be a lot easier. The area I live in (Eastern Canada) doesn't seem to have a copy of the DVD anywhere at all. I have ordered it online and hopefully the vendor I deal with can send me a copy fairly soon. They are "out of stock" at present. It also appears that other Canadian Online vendors are also "out of stock". I feel as though there has been some kind of distribution snafu here in Canada for this title. I always write my reviews for these DVDs, but unfortunately, it may be longer that usual for the review to be posted on this site. Will keep you posted. July 26 was the official release date.
I have made some subtle but interesting changes to the site. A nice "gradient" quality to the top of the page and a nice leg, which belongs to Sue Upton from the "New York, New York" routine. More updates coming this week. I am still in the process of getting a copy of the New A&E Set 3. Will keep you posted.
Site Map Archives
To conserve space and save on bandwidth, I have taken the liberty of dividing the updated Site Map pages into "archive" pages. This organizes the updates in a way that makes it easier to find information for a specific time. Archive 1 contains the earliest updates.
Pop-Up Photo Galleries
At present, I have replaced the older version of the Photo Galleries with newer Pop-Up Photo Galleries, in case you haven't stopped in lately. Note: I have also included an alternate Non Pop-Up Gallery as well. For the moment all of the galleries have photos that measure 235 pixels wide by 170 pixels high, except for the A&E sets that are currently available (1 and 2). Those two reviews contain photos that measure 500 pixels wide by 357 pixels high. I do not have a copy of Set 3 yet. Release date was July 26. I think there may have been a distribution snafu. Will keep you posted as to when I am going to post my DVD Review.
